2 Solutions - we have you covered…

3 HDMI Driving the Market
Digital Video from the start… Contract Manufacturing Partnerships in ASIA OEM contracts with 18 plus Manufacturers

4 Not all HDMI are created equal…
Connectors designed with internal circuit boards to eliminate crosstalk Precision connectors for a more precise and positive fit High quality Lab-Grade 6N Pure copper conductors for better conductivity (MX2) Impedance –matched twisted pair conductors arrays with Nitrogen-injected “skin-foam-skin” dielectric insulation to eliminate inter-pair skewing and time delays (same as MX2) Large gauge 5V conductors for improved and consistent power transfer At the right of this slide you can see three of the more popular ways to terminate an HDMI cable. Ultralink uses PCB board construction in all but the most entry level cables that we produce. At no time do we us the hand soldered approach which lacks reliability and durability. Note: The same attention to detail is given to the design and engineering of all Ultralink HDMI cables. The drill is the same, design, engineer and purchase all the optimum raw materials then partner with an outstanding HDMI approved manufacturer to handle assembly.

5 Not all HDMI are created equal…
Typical off the shelf: Hand soldered pin by pin increasing chance of short circuit between pins, cold solder joint, and overheating or loosening of pins. Quality varies depending on worker, Automating the process, no guarantee: Cold welded with separation between pins. Done with machinery dramatically increasing reliability and connection durability Ultralink HDMI Connectors: Wave soldering onto PCB improves rigidity of connector, impedance match, and separates the traces. At the right of this slide you can see three of the more popular ways to terminate an HDMI cable. Ultralink uses PCB board construction in all but the most entry level cables that we produce. At no time do we us the hand soldered approach which lacks reliability and durability.

14 Ultralink Proprietary AEQ (Active Equalizer Chip)
Ultralink utilizes a Proprietary Active Equalizer chip in its longer length Cables. The latest version, feature Data rates up to 3.4Gbps, and supports 1440P, DTV, 16 bit color depth and 120Hz refresh rates. The circuit includes a high performance Equalizer and is powered by the Internal 5 Volt (no external power) Features: • Works with High Speed HDMI Cables with and without Ethernet • Powered internally from the HDMI cable (no external power supply needed) • Unique integrated equalizer • Found on the CS1-HDMI 10, 12 and 15 meter cables

15 What does the “Speed Rating” of HDMI cables measure?
The speed rating of an HDMI cable determines its ability to transfer large amounts of data at certain pre-determined time fractions. This is usually measured in Gigabits per Second (Gbps). HDTV Set Top Box – 1080i / 8-bit Color – 2.23 Gbps Advanced Gaming Station (xBox360/PS3/Wii) – 1080p / 8-bit Color – Gbps HDMI Ver. 1.3a – 1080p / 12-bit Deep Color – Gbps Blu-Ray Profile 1.3 – 1080p / 14-bit Deep Color – Gbps Blu-Ray Profile 2.0 – 1080p / 16-bit Deep Color – 8.91 Gbps Future Applications – 1440p+ / 16-bit Deep Color – 10.2 Gbps

The shielding and dielectrics need to do their jobs better than ever. Every twisted pair conductor needs to be accurately constructed in the correct gauge. In analog cables, performance depends on design. The digital HDMI cable is no different.

28 Current or Standard HDMI
The Hardware side… Current or Standard HDMI It is recommended that you label input and output that support the HDMI Ethernet Channel an/or the Audio Return Channel. HDMI Licensing, LLC recommends that such ports be labeled as follows: Ports that support the Audio Return Channel should be labeled “ARC” Ports that support the HDMI Ethernet Channel should be labeled “HEC” Ports that support both the Audio Return channel and the HDMI Ethernet channel should be labeled “ARC + HEC”

46 There are two new connectors that have been introduced, but they are special-application connectors.
The first is the “Type D” connector, or the “micro-HDMI”. This connector can be used on very small devices such as mobile phones or other hand-carries. Sounds like a job for… The new HDMI spec is also expected to introduce Type D connectors (smaller than the existing A and B types). They will be as small as the existing Micro USB C connectors. The Type D connector is a Molex (Japanese) prototype. Type A Type C Type D
