In front of a situation, we act as a function of all this variables. –Meet this client and define objectives for this new system… UUUFFFFFFF! I know the way to manage the meeting and arrive to this objective. I have done this before and they congratulate me. I CAN DO THAT!!!!!!!

How long? ¿How can I change? –21 days changing each habit. –And with a lot of practice. In the interpersonal communication, ¿Are a lot of habits related? –Yes.

GpiIH-0 Module C. Professional abilities.6 We and ours habits We carry with ours habits: –Some times we have no conscience of that. –Others We think that we couldn't change the situation. The way to change… We first must separate different habits and then work with few of them.

GpiIH-0 Module C. Professional abilities.7 Are habits a bad thing? “NOT”. They simplify ours lives, We don’t need to think how to cross the arms… But some times is better if we change same habits, and we do them more appropriates. Think about interpersonal relations...

We can see or remember films, people that we is nice, …. Read about the habit we want to change. –Usually we identify the habit by the effects it has.

GpiIH-0 Module C. Professional abilities.29 What is Assertiveness? Assertiveness is the ability to express yourself and your rights without violating the rights of others. It is appropriately direct, open, and honest communication which is self-enhancing and expressive. Allow you to: –feel self-confident –gain you the respect of your peers and friends. –increase your chances for honest relationships, –help you to feel better about yourself –self-control in everyday situations. –improve your decision-making ability –possibly your chances of getting what you really want from life.

GpiIH-0 Module C. Professional abilities.30 Aggressiveness means that you express your rights but at the expense, degradation, or humiliation of another. It involves being so emotionally or physically forceful that the rights of others are not allowed to surface. Others become angry or vengeful, and as such, it can work against your intentions and cause people to lose respect for you. You may feel self-righteous or superior at a particular time -- but after thinking things through, you may feel guilty later.

The following statements project this preciseness: –“I want to..." –“I don't want you to..." –“Would you...?" –“I liked it when you did that." –“I have a different opinion, I think that..." –“I have mixed reactions. I agree with these aspects for these reasons, but I am disturbed about these aspects for these reasons."

GpiIH-0 Module C. Professional abilities.33 Be clear It can be helpful to explain exactly what you mean and exactly what you don't mean, such as: –“I don't want to break up over this, but I'd like to talk it through and see if we can prevent it from happening again."
