Project Description 7 th grade vocabulary lessons and assessment that mimic the style and format of the current vocabulary text used in class with the addition on interactive activities. Classroom calendar and other essential informational components Parent information/home tutoring component

Project Objectives To deliver a Web-based vocabulary lesson that mimics and enhanced the current student vocabulary text. To provide students and parents with reinforcement tools necessary for student achievement in new word acquisition. To provide students and parents with pertinent classroom information necessary for student success.

Design Metaphor Muted variations of blue and yellow, the school colors Color-coded lessons for ease of student understanding and navigation

Learning Activities Exposure to new vocabulary words via literary passage to read. Defining activity with link to Dictionary.com. Drill and practice activities: Matching via drag and drop, Sentence writing game, Analogy practice (method to be decided.) CRISS Reading Strategy practice via Word Map to be printed out for teacher assessment. Online quiz for assessment.
