2. The Early YearThe Early Year –The band played gigs around the San Francisco area. –Before being Linkin Park, the band was called Super Xero. –Chester was recommended to the Hybrid Theory although he had been singing solo and with different bands. –Chester was inspired by the Hybrid Theory that three days later he was on a plane to join the band. –The band released two 3 E.P.’s in 1998. –Hybrid Theory finally was noticed by the Recording Company, Warner Brothers. Warner Brothers signed them in 1999. –There was a conflict with the band’s name because another band had the similar name. –Chester came up with the name Lincoln Park because that was the name of the park in his town. –Chester add a little twist to the name and he came up with “Linkin Park”
