What is the current situation of the programmes? n Oldest programme in its 6 th cycle (NOHA), newest in its first (International Management) n 2002/03: students from over 10 countries enrolled on programmes n Use of Socrates to provide study abroad periods

Difficulties? n Multidisciplinary approach – may cross faculties n Different academic calendars n Diferent academic expectations from students n Different cultural and university backgrounds among students

Strong points for students? n Multidisciplinary n May allow specialisation n Mixture of backgrounds, cultures, nationalities of students n High profile courses

Value for your department? n Links with other institutions and faculties n Brings in international students n Allows departments to assess their place in bigger systems and to set appropriate targets

Value for UCD? n Exposure to outside ideas and systems n Development of networks n Financial

Recommendations? n Resource implications are large – it must work n Potential is huge, but so is the risk n Sustainability means commitment from home institution
