3.  יינתנו 4 עבודות בית מרכזיות:  עבודות בית לתרגול והבנת החומר ב OSS  10% EX 1 - Compare the relative efficiency of different network protocols  10% EX 2 - Develop a simple fault management correlation system  בתחום חדשנות, יזמות ו OSS יינתנו 2 עבודות בית מרכזיות אחת הכנת 2 מצגות המלצה על רעיונות שנוצרו במסגרת תהליך החדשנות ממוקד OSS והשנייה הכנת שני מצגות רקע מקיף על הרעיונות הנבחרים, ניתן ליצר סרטון המחשה לרעיון נבחר כבונוס ( סרטון אב טיפוס בסגנון (YouTube OSS system. משקלן הכוללת של מצגות רעיונות החדשנות וניתוח הרעיון בתחום ה OSS הוא 20% המצגות יוגשו ע"י קבוצות של 3 – 5 משתתפים.  משקלן הכולל של עבודות בית הוא כ-40% מציון הקורס. עבודות הבית ימחישו את הבנת המשתתפים בתחום ה OSS.  המצגות יוצגו במסגרת מבחן נפרד ע"י הצוותים בכיתה. משקלו כ-10%.  בסוף הקורס תיערך בחינה שמשקלה כ-50%.  הגשת כל עבודות הבית, הגשת והצגת הרעיונות בכיתה והצלחה במבחן הם תנאים למעבר הקורס. 

Presentation type: 1.Recommendation presentation: A clear and easy to understand presentation that addresses all aspects of the idea. 2.Concept presentation: Idea development definitions, research, risks and development plan. The final project.

7. innovation ideation - OSS challenges  Challenge 1:  Customer experience and Self-service – How can one improve the customer experience, visibility, and involvement, by providing access to the OSS and the network  Challenge 2:  BI and Data mining – use of customer, inventory, service usage, system performance, execution metrics, network faults, and other OSS/network data to find fallout patterns, recommend process improvements, up-sale opportunities, and net value improvements  Challenge 3:  Yield Management - The process of understanding, anticipating and influencing consumers in order to maximize profits from a fixed, perishable resource  Used in the airline, hotel, car rental, transport, and insurance industries. We will discuss and analyze its applicability to Communication Service Providers
