Team Members Kanoa Jou (Leader) Ryan Sato (Organizer) KiWoon Ahn (Organizer) Brett Ikei (Recorder)
3
Overview of the Project Micromouse Competition where autonomous robotic mice compete to find the center of a maze in the shortest time possible. Competition rules must be followed Ex: Mice must not exceed 25cm x 25cm
4
General Discussion of Our Approach Traditional top down style mouse Implementing infrared sensors Implementing stepper motors Begin with an easy design Making mice a wall hugger or random turns Design more complicated algorithm Mouse can find the quickest way to the center
5
Potential Problems Problems with code Incorrect circuit Faulty equipment Inefficient power source
6
Learning Expectancies Debugging skills Circuit troubleshooting skills Designing skills Programming skills
7
Goals Moving mouse Able to turn Follow walls Track its position Find the center
8
Proposed Schedule Design Chassis: Feb 5 – 12 Constructing chassis: Feb 5 – 7 Testing and debugging with motor: Feb 8 – 12 Designing C Code: Feb 13 – 26 Design code: Feb 13 - 19 Testing and Debugging: Feb 19 - 26 Sensor Layout: Feb 27 – Mar 1 Testing, Debugging, and Redesigning: Mar 2 - ?
