Rotation 1: Skill Set Memorize and correctly apply relation between linear and angular motion. (Check units to be sure!) Understand moment of inertia. “Memorize” it for a hoop. Judge what mass distribution gives a big I or a small I. Use conservation of energy with rotational K to solve problems like falling masses+pulleys, or objects doing loop-the-loop Apply the parallel axis theorem appropriately, when it is valid. (Axes parallel, one through cm.)
