8 We used a program called NEWILD (New England Wildlife) to figure out which species we might encounter. We plugged in data about the forest habitat of each site, and the program came out with a list of species that would reside in that area. This gives us a list of species that people can look for and are likely to see at each site. Site B: White Breasted Nuthatch, Wood Thrush, Least Flycatcher Site C: Downy Woodpecker, Northern Cardinal, Woodland Vole Site D: Eastern Garter Snake, Ruffed Grouse, White Footed Mouse Wildlife
