4. The first type of stroke is a Subarachnoid Hemorrhage, which results in blood filling the subarachnoid space between the brain and the skull. The second type of stroke, Ischemic stroke, is the result of a blood clot in the brain that leads to brain tissue being deprived of oxygen and glucose-rich blood. The third type of stroke, Intracerebral hemorrhage occurs when a blood vessel in the brain ruptures and blood leaks into the surrounding tissue.
