Final Exam: Reminders Can only use one monitor Save at least every 10 min When you save you should take the time to submit or at least submit after you complete each section –This is to save you if your computer crashes and we have to move you Do a test submission at 10 min Five-minute warning: save and submit immediately
8
Final Exam: Reminders Have a plan B: Practice finding good solutions without Solver / data table / EOQ formula / whatever Each lab will have a proctor Content questions: –Designated “content person” for each lab –Will introduce themselves at beginning of exam –Trained for consistency
9
Keeping Your Computer Happy Don’t open too many windows –Guideline: two browser windows + two open Excel files Data tables – don’t make them too big –Freeze simulation results –This has caused problems in the past… if you do not know how to, ask your proctor before your computer crashes Solver: –Always save before using –Taking more than a few seconds? Usually means your model or solver settings are wrong Use escape key to stop If it is sluggish and you are confident in your model have the proctor reinstall it for you
