EJC Survey, Fall 2002 Survey period: 9/25/02 – 1/5/03 Total EJC downloads by OSU users: 247,528 Sample rate: 1 out of every 30 OSU users Number of times survey presented: 6747 Response rate: 1916 out of 6747 (28%) Able to analyze subsets of data and compare (e.g., usage during Dec. break vs. rest of quarter)

Next Steps Compare results for beginning, middle, end of quarter, and break Obtain results of Winter 2003 OSU Poll question to learn how many do not use or are not aware of the EJC Compare use of titles also owned in print with use of titles available only electronically

Next steps Publish our findings Plan “ phase 2 ” of the study; ideas include: Focus groups to learn more about how EJC articles are used and valued Replication of the EJC survey on a statewide basis Seek funding for phase 2
