10 Hardware Computer (preferably a laptop or something portable) 9600 bps modem (custom firmware on existing circuits, customized modem on FPGA) UHF/VHF Radio (off the shelf components) YAGI antenna Motor and controlling circuit for antenna base (X,Y,Z axis) Power supply to power all components except for the computer. Car battery? UPS unit?

11 Software User interface for sending/receiving data. Satellite tracking software (use NASA J-track database). Motor control and self diagnostic utilities. Server software (http, ftp, etc.)

13 Inexperience with satellite communication. –Example: Whether we can send data and receive our sent data before satellite go below the horizon. Response time of tracking system for acceptable tracking error margins. Noises (circuit, atmospherics, etc).
