2 Senior Design: Team Burja _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Material Discharging Grain Container  Inclined at 20º such that grain naturally exits container when door is opened  Hinged at bottom  Door acts as grain chute after it opens.  Container dimensions maximize carrying capacity within starting box constraints (30 x 25 x 25 cm box) 20º

3 Senior Design: Team Burja _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Material Discharging Door Actuation  Support pin resists door forces instead of solenoid shaft.  Crossbar extends full length of door  Solenoid actuates door latch  Solenoid is only energized for a brief moment, returns to original position after door drops open  Door stop limits the lower position of the door Crossbar Support Pin Solenoid Door stop

4 Senior Design: Team Burja _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Material Discharging Electronics  Dump button pressed on Hand-held Controller  5V signal sent to intermediate relay  Relay allows solenoids to see 12V potential  1-2 Solenoids actuate to release grain door 5V signal from Hand-held Controller Relay 12V from Battery Pack Solenoid (optional)
