Software Training What students will learn: –Financial Modeling with Excel –Monte Carlo Simulation Analysis with Crystal Ball –Use Capital IQ Firm Valuation project –Trading skills through Rotman Trading Client –Portfolio Management training through Morningstar Encorr –Utilize Bloomberg

Team Project Workshop Partner with financial firms to solicit projects Students are assigned to projects in teams Work closely with client to offer consulting services and address client’s needs Make a presentation to client on location

CFA Preparation Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Program –Three levels (exams) Take Level I at end of program –Requirement for a career in investment management –SMF Program will become Program Partner of CFA Institute (70% of Body of Knowledge of all three levels of CFA) CFA = Most highly- sought designation in the profession

FRM Preparation Financial Risk Manager (FRM) Program –Highly-sought designation in risk management area –Two exams Take first exam at end of program SMF program will prepare you for FRM exam

SIM Program Students practice security analysis and portfolio management skills Analyze sectors and individual stocks Make recommendations for portfolio allocation Networking opportunities through contacts with financial community
