Simulation of a Smart Sensor Network System in NS2 I simulated a GEO satellite network that communicates two satellite terminals (one located in Mexico and the other in Michigan), and a wireless sensor network representing the monitoring of a secured area in Mexico. The first terminal is connected to the wireless sensor network simulated with five wired nodes. One of these sensor nodes supervises the others, and serves as a gateway to pass information to the terminal in Mexico, which transmits to the terminal in Michigan through the GEO satellite.
