April 2010 The Faculty of Engineering The Faculty of Engineering The Faculty of Engineering was established in 2006 as a result of a the merger between Odense University College of Engineering and University of Southern Denmark. The faculty has research and educational activities in both Odense and Sønderborg.

The combination of the needs of society and the academic competences of the Faculty of Engineering leads to growth, development and welfare through applied technical research at the highest level combined with the education of highly qualified and internationally orientated graduates in engineering.

The Faculty of Engineering aspires to become leading in engineering education through continuous development of The Engineering Education Model of the University of Southern Denmark. The Faculty of Engineering places great emphasis on being active and visible in society and on being an attractive partner for cooperation through knowledge exchange.

April 2010 The Faculty of Engineering Internationalisation n An increasing number of highly skilled international students. n An increasing number of the students perform a part of their study at a foreign university or perform internships in a foreign company. n 2009: 290 exchange students from more than 25 different countries.
