Plants Reducing Our Carbon Footprint!
2
What is A Carbon Footprint? A carbon footprint is a measurement of our actions that have an effect on the environment, and in particular climate change. It relates to the amount of greenhouse gases produced in our day-to-day lives through burning fossil fuels for electricity, heating and transportation etc. A carbon footprint is a measurement of our actions that have an effect on the environment, and in particular climate change. It relates to the amount of greenhouse gases produced in our day-to-day lives through burning fossil fuels for electricity, heating and transportation etc. The carbon footprint is the measurement of all the greenhouse gases we produce by ourselves and has units of tonnes (or kg) of carbon dioxide equivalent.

What is Carbon Dioxide? Carbon dioxide or CO2 is an inorganic chemical compound with a wide range of commercial uses, from the production of lasers to the carbonation of soda. This compound exists naturally from the Earth's environment. commercial carbon dioxide is usually derived from the byproducts of industrial processes. This humble gas has become a topic of interest for humans because it is classified among the greenhouse gases, gases which impact the Earth's environment when they reach high concentrations in the atmosphere.

What kind of things make your Carbon Footprint bigger? Air travel accounts for about 3.5 percent of the human contribution to global warming. Air travel accounts for about 3.5 percent of the human contribution to global warming. Washing your clothing and textiles makes up 14.5 percent of your Carbon Footprint. The food and drinks that you choose everyday make up 5 percent of your Carbon Footprint The food and drinks that you choose everyday make up 5 percent of your Carbon Footprint Driving your car to and from everyday makes up for 15 percent. How Plants can help By planting a tree you can help reduce your own carbon footprint. By planting a tree you can help reduce your own carbon footprint. It helps because the tree takes some of the CO2 out of the air and makes it into oxygen. It helps because the tree takes some of the CO2 out of the air and makes it into oxygen. Plants can also help by being used to make “bio- fuel”. Plants can also help by being used to make “bio- fuel”. Donating money to a cause that helps plant trees is a good way to help decrease your Carbon Footprint.’ Donating money to a cause that helps plant trees is a good way to help decrease your Carbon Footprint.’

Bio-Fuel Bio-Fuel is made by any earth matter like trees, plants, dirt, mulch Bio-Fuel is made by any earth matter like trees, plants, dirt, mulch They take that matter and create fuel out of it. They take that matter and create fuel out of it. That fuel could help us eliminate our uses of oil/gas That fuel could help us eliminate our uses of oil/gas It helps us get rid of most of the gases that are produced when we use transpiration It helps us get rid of most of the gases that are produced when we use transpiration

Planting Trees Scientist have found that when a tree is planted you Carbon Footprint goes down. Scientist have found that when a tree is planted you Carbon Footprint goes down. The tree helps get a lot of the Carbon Dioxide out of the air and it prevents it from damaging the atmosphere. What we can do to help! We can do many things to help decrease our Carbon footprint. We can do many things to help decrease our Carbon footprint. Some of those include again planting trees, traveling on the bus instead of a car, carpool to events, get solar panels and even turn the thermostat down by 2 degrees in the winter and up 2 degrees in the summer.
