Lomborg, Cool It! Polar bear story tells us: 1. we hear vastly emotional and exaggerated claims about climate change (not supported by data) 2. Only hear about the troubled species, and some will actually do better 3. Our concern forces us to focus on the wrong solutions.

Lomborg’s main arguments 1. Global warming is real and human induced 2. Statements about the strong, ominous and immediate consequences of global warming are often exaggerated. 3. We need simpler, smarter, and more efficient solutions rather than excessive well intentioned efforts E.g. large and expensive CO2 cuts made now will only have a marginal and insignificant impact into the future. 4. Many other issues are much more important than global warming Hunger, poverty and disease. 5. We can help more people by addressing these things at a lower cost and higher success than by pursuing drastic climate policies that cost trillions of dollars.
