Recitation Sessions  Every Friday – 50 minutes  Drop off homework for the week by Thursday 4:00 p.m. at my office (Bexell 418 B)  Pick up homework at Friday recitation  Recitation Instructor will go over problems  You will self correct your work  Ask questions and get help on trouble areas  If issues remain see me or have instructor pass on issue for class lecture on Monday

Syllabus  Chapter Assignments  We will try and stay on schedule but…  Changes will be posted on web  Homework Assignments  Do not entirely map to timing from lectures  You may be doing some prior to lecture  I will cover the problems in class that are out of timing sequence  You are graded on effort and timeliness  Examination dates…final?

Textbook  Financial Management: A Modern Approach  Modern Approach  Calculators and Spreadsheets  Personal examples as a segue to business applications  Written for this audience  There will be some small errors in the text  Please forward errors to me  Any material errors will be corrected in class  Comments on the text are also welcome  Again forward comments to me, both positive and negative.

Examinations  Open Book and Open Notes  Questions will be more difficult  Efficient use of time a must  Notes are your friends…think about how best to use them at lecture time, not when you study for exam  Calculators  Important tool  Know your calculator…  Laptops?  You can use but…may need to sit away from other students  During lecture they are fine…but must be for BA 360

7. Expectations  Attendance  On time for lecture and recitation  Notify me if examination will be missed prior to examine (if at all possible)  Professional Attitude  Toward Instructors and Professor  Toward other students  Ethics – Do your own work…this is the time to build your skill set
