Background -EUROP – Pool cancelled without substitution -Wagonlink(Railion etc) project also stopped -EC is pushing „New Wagon Status“: a „liberalized“ RIV (like P-Wagons), with this: -Big players tend to control their own assets and to reach bilateral agreements -Unclear billing process for loaded / empty wagons

4. 4 F-Man Pool Concept (1) POOL - Dedicated wagons at - Different locations - type oriented OfferBid „OUT “ „IN“ „loaded“ „empty“ Goals - reducing the empties - asset control Preconditions - virtual access (location control) - physical access (operation) - „IN“ / „OUT“ control (incl. accounting system) - loaded / empty control (optional)

5. 5 F-MAN Pool Concept (2) - Contracting between RU and the Pool Manager („pool dedication“) Contract time fees, pay/payback process revenue participation - Wagon transportation to a defined location - After wagon request: „bid / offer“ – process or fixed fee usage - Dedication pool client  wagon („client dedication“) - Automatic starting of the billing process (from „OUT  IN“) - (Optional: loading information) - After „IN“ (- Pool) information: return trip to location of empties
