2. Procedure 1.Identify the corners of the room as North, South, East and West. 2. Student A is at the centre of the classroom shining a torch directly at the globe held by student B ~ 2 m away. (the globe will need to be held on a stand that shows the Earth’s natural tilt of 23.5 degrees and directed towards North ) 3. Student B walks around the sun (torch) keeping 2 m distance, stopping at each of the corners.

3. Questions Based on your observations: Determine what season it is in Ireland at each of the stops? Should the sun appear higher or lower in the sky during summer? How should the length of day vary depending on if it is Summer or Winter in either of the hemispheres?
