6. Step 2: Developing Client Software  A little more challenging  Find a client or make a client? –We chose to adapt an existing software package –Environmental Analysis System (EASy) developed by University of Southern California

7. EASy Client  Advantages –Functionality already established –Uses Point Data –Development Platform is familiar (C++) –Can be run as desktop application or Browser Interface  The client is in the Beta Test Mode

Step 3: Technology Transfer  Most challenging step  Differences in philosophy among data producing groups about data sharing –Some groups want to share their data –Some groups want to implement an approval process before sharing  Software Compatibility issues. –Problems with operating system versions
