4 What is the distance between school and home?  The most of asked students answerd that they commute to school from 5 to 15 km  It means that they mostly live in Brno or they have temporary address here

5 To get to school, our typical trasport is:  As you can see most students go to school by public means of transport

6 Why have you chosen this type of transport?  For 78.3% students there isn´t any other way of transport posible.  Walking is too slow.

7 Energy

8 What method do you primarily use to heat your home?  A little over 50% families use gas heating and 30% use public central heating and the rest use other means

9 To which temperature do you heat your bedroom in winter?  52.2% students heat their bedrooms to 20 - 22 degrees Celsius  39.1% like a warmer bedroom

10 Do you turn your heating down from time to time(when you are not in your bedroom)?  100% students turn down the temperature in the bedroom when they aren´t in.

11 If you answered yes, for what reasons:  34% of students turn down the temperature when they go to school and at various times during the day

12 Do you regularly take a shower or bath :  Most students prefer shower to bath

13 At the average, you shower for:  43.5% of students have a shower from 5 to 10 minutes  30.4% from 3 to 5 minutes  26.1% more than 10 minutes

14 Do you let water run while brushing your teeth:  The most of students stop water, when they are brushing their teeth

15 Do you let the water run when you are taking a shower?  Most sudents don´t stop water when they use the soap

16 Do you let the water run when doing the dishes?  Over 50% students wash up in running water

17 Do you let water run while washing fruits and vegetables?  82.6% of students wash fruits and vegetables in running water

18 Do you use a double flush system?  60.9% of students can´t choose the amount of water in the toilet  39.1% can

19 Do you check for leaks in the toilet?  Most students check if the water in the toilet flows through

20 Have you got a garden?  Most students have a garden

21 If yes, do you have a water recovery system?  Most students retain rain water

22 If yes, what do you use it for?  91 % of students use this water for watering plants

23 When the weather is extremely dry do you water the garden?  Most families with gardens water them when the weather is dry

24 Do you turn on the lights during the day?  69.6% of students sometimes use the electric light during the day

25 Do you leave the lights on when you leave the room?  Most students sometimes let the light on, when they leave the room.

26 Do you leave your electronic devices plugged in when not in use?  Nowadays it´s normal to leave electric appliances plugged in

27 Your recycling habits

28 Do you use recycled paper?  69.6 % of students sometimes use recycled paper

29 Do you use both sides of a sheet of paper?  82.6 % of students often use both sides of paper  17.4 % sometimes

30 Are you provided with recycling facilites, or special garbage cans intended for recycling?  Most students haven´t got any special bin for recycling  Only 17.4 % have them

31 Which recycling products do you separate from the garbage?  The most often separated waste is plastic bottles and glass, after that cardboard, paper and wood, then metal

32 Do you separate electronics, lighthbulbs, medications from the garbage?  Most families sometimes separate this type of waste

33 If you live alone, do you have a compost?  Most students who have a house have a compost too.

34 What do you think?  Most students think that recycling is very important
