2. Goby was founded by Mark Watkins Vince Russo and MIT professor, Mike Stonebraker in 2008. The search engine was finally launched in September of 2009. The main focus was helping people experience new things and adventures while taking the “frustration involved in planning it” out of the equation.

Goby is a new search engine that focuses on “exploring fun things to do with your free time.” It allows users to quickly and efficiently search for fun and interesting things to do instead of spending it searching endlessly online. Goby is an activity search engine. The purpose of this search engine is to find new and innovative things such as day trips or concerts with little time. Goby takes information from hundreds of sites and displays, “appropriate options…with maps, photos…directions…”

5. Goby can be accessed and used by anyone, anywhere at anytime. You can also create an account where you can save, organize or plan your next adventure. You can log into facebook to create and share your experiences. Goby can also be accessed on mobile phones such as the I-Phone or Android.
