3  Serious Games Interactive (SGI) was founded in 2006 in Copenhagen, Denmark.  Develop serious games that combines playing, learning, communication and story-telling.  Covered in most major news outlets and won numerous awards over the years.  A cross-disciplinary team of 18 people with strong roots in research. 5 TOP3 - Interesting trends Real impact – Information is not enough. We need real behaviour change. Gamification – Games are moving into all contexts and areas. Not just products. New devices & channels – The adaptation and reach expands with digital distribution, smart phones, SmartTV and tablets.

6 The Nordic Region No dedicated funding for Games-for-change but increasing interest from aid agencies and NGOs. No formal organisations or conference although there has been a few attempts over the years. 9 The Nordic Region U-landskalender.dk (Danida & DR): in coordination with DR. Go back to 1970s as a paper calendar for enlighting kids. Moved online for real 5 years ago, and have been investing in a game that reach around 150.000 children in Denmark (the majority of kids). Global Conflicts (SGI): Award-winning influential series now going into its fifth year with 10 episodes online covering global hot spots.
