Electricity -It is an electrical energy, which is transported from one location to another by electrons 2

Types of Electricity There are 2 types: 1-static electricity: Where the charge is not moving, it deal with production of charges by friction. 3

Static Electricity -Static electricity generated by friction(rubbing) of dissimilar materials. Static electricity is called "high voltage " High voltage can attract lint or tiny bits of paper, and it can make hair stand up. 4

Frictional Electricity 5

Types of Electricity 2- Current electricity: Where the charge is moving in a conductor, due to difference of potential across its two ends. 6

Charge -When two bodies are rubbed togother, there is transference of electrons from one body to another. -The body that loses the electrons will be positive charged and the other that gains electrons is negative charged. -Therefore there are 2 types of charges: positive charge and negative charge. 7

Properties of Charges -1) Like charge repel each other. 8

Properties of Charges 2-Unlike charges attract each other. 9

Properties of Charges 3-There is force(F)of attraction or repulsion between the two charges. 4-The charge cannot be created nor can be destroy. 10

SI units -The SI unit of electric charge is coulomb(C). -The SI unit of electric unit is ampere(A). -Ampere: it is a measure of electrical current. -Electrical current is the rate of flow of electrical charge. 11

SI units -Electrical current -Therefore the SI unit of charge is ampere second (also coulomb). 1coulomb=1ampere second 12

Radiographic exposure factor -Radiographic exposure factor known as `mAs` (mill ampere second). It is actually a unit of electrical charge. 13

coulomb`s law of electrostatic. -The force of repulsion or the force of attraction (F) is directly proportional to product of the charges and inversely proportional to square of distance between them. 14

coulomb`s law of electrostatic. -Let A and B the two charged bodies and +q1 and +q2 the charged on them. These are separated by a distance d cm.Then the force of repulsion F between the charged would be, F α q1×q2 F α 1/ d 2 d=distance K=direct constant F=k(q1*q2)/d2 15 A B

Electrical field -It is a region in the space in which a charged body can experience a force of attraction or repulsion. 16
