12. Photoshop 1: Layers: getting started Make sure you can see layers palette toolbar>windows>history and layers Layers allow you to build your image in separate sections as though it were a collage. Each layer is manipulable. Make sure to preserve transparency for exporting. History allows you to see the moves you’ve made and quickly step backward if you’ve made a mistake.
