Ramah Navajo Heart Saver Project To Abq. To Flagstaff
3
Gardening Project Designed as component of our less- intensive community-based activities. Evolved to include a number of patients taking part in the intensive clinic-based activities.
4
Gardening Project Historically, Navajos grew fields of corn, beans and squash. At Ramah Navajo, some families now have gardens, and cornfields are few. Water for irrigation is in short supply.
5
Gardening Project Goals: Encourage family physical activity through gardening. Increase availability and consumption of fresh produce. Help families become more self- sufficient.
