3 But that’s not the way it works…I’ll tell you how it works… I have been a manager for (insert number>10 years here) and you can’t come in and tell me how to do it… I don’t have time to hear this I don’t want to hear this Yes that sounds great…pat on head…walk away and do opposite of advice… Ah but you don’t have to impress the boss for a promotion Sounds nice in academia…but this is the real world If my staff really felt that way they would tell me… Look that headcount figure you have as a footnote on page 6 does not equal the number on page 12, and that chart just looks wrong, oh and you have a spelling error there… Responses I typically get from Managers
