6 Proposed Solution 6 Induction Based Charger: Create a two-part separable transformer, split between the rover and base station No direct human interaction required to charge rover batteries

7 How It Works 7 When the electric current alternates in a wire loop a magnetic field is created. A second wire near the magnetic field will experience and induced electrical charge. The induced charge will charge the battery without physical contact.

10 10 Power Regulation An optocoupler is used to send isolated voltage regulation information back to primary side of transformer. Secondary Primary Using components with similar electrical characteristics the system can be split in two. Existing optocoupler is a single component package.
