3 What is Distance Education? Distance Education can simply be defined as follows; Teaching and learning in which learning normally occurs in a different place from teaching. 4 Theories of Distance Education Due to new technologies, globalization and new ideas about learning traditional education concept is chancing. There are three different ideas about how distance education is applied.
