ATM The “Beast” of Technology
2
What is the ATM? The ATM stands for Automatic Teller Machine. It was designed and created to give the public an easier and faster way to get cash from their bank account. All you need is your bank card and your “necessities” can be bought.
3
What is the process? In the basic ATM you first select the language you want on the button. Next, you put in your card and enter your pin number on the button pad. Then, you select with number pad the amount you want. If you the amount you want is not on the monitor, then you can put in the number with the number pad with the amount you want. After that, you money is dipensed and the receipt prints out. Finally, your card comes back out for you.
4
Is the ATM the Right Stuff? Pros It is a convenient, on- the-go way to get money from your bank account. There relatively easy to understand. Cons The only security is a camera and your pin number, which in fact can sometimes be displayed after you used the ATM and someone can take money from your account. The buttons are sometimes very small to press.

Budd the average redneck Budd complains about ATM’s. He is in his middle ages and hates everything about the ATM.
6
Budd's frustrating day Budd got up this morning to get his daughter from his ex-wife’s house. He has to pay his wife child support today, so he will stop by the ATM and make a withdrawal. He inserts his credit card and starts to press the buttons, but his pudgy fingers keep pressing the wrong buttons. He finally gets it right and he selects withdrawal. He starts to get his money, when the bill spitter jams. It still counts it as a withdrawal, but he doesn't have his money, and now he's out $250! Now he can’t pick up his daughter today. An ATM has ruined his day.

Cathy Cathy is a widow with two children. Lost her husband in a in a murder when he tried to stop a man from stealing money from an ATM. So she wants more secure ATM’s. Cathy wishes to have more languages such as French, so her parents can use the ATM.
8
Cathy’s Scenario One day, Cathy was cooking dinner when suddenly, the phone rang. She picked up the phone and It was from the New York City police department. They were calling to tell her someone had murdered he husband at an ATM when he tried to stop him from breaking into it. If the ATM was more secure, then her husband would not have died.

Suzy Suzy is a single parent of 6. She has to work everyday to support her large family. She doesn't want to leave any money in the house with the baby sitter everyday so she uses the bank and gets money out of the ATM to buy groceries and go home. She wishes that the ATMs were given more protection because she never knows if a camera is monitoring the screen and is able to steal money form her account. She is also worried that someone could track her finger movements and know her PIN number. She is really worried that someone might take her money and theoretically starve her and her children.

Conclusion In our project we hope to improve the ATM for all the ATM users.
