3. Resource Core Purpose: –Provide access to technical assistance for grantees as they implement the activities of the demonstration project –Considerations: diverse group of grantees with differing experience, strengths and weaknesses, and needs of new staff

5. Resource Core Technical Assistance Needs Assessment –Gather input on a regular basis to assess the specific technical assistance needs of grantees –Design technical assistance and training sessions during grantee meetings –Grantee self-assessment

Resource Core Onsite Technical Assistance at Grantee Meetings –Series of training sessions and workshops at grantee meetings –Content based on stage of planning and implementation –Conducted by consultants with expertise in area –Purpose: to ensure all grantees obtain the skills they need to successfully implement the required activities of each intervention

Resource Core Consultation at the Request of Grantees –Challenge – very diverse group of grantees with very different technical assistance needs –Complex initiative with multiple skills required –Resource Core will provide a list of available consultants and their areas of expertise –Grantees can contact and hire consultants for their specific needs –All programs instructed to put funding for this in their budgets
