Summary of User Survey To further improve the service, Library conducted a user survey for the Millennium system between 18 Oct – 7 Nov 2006. 78 valid replies has been collected including 72 students and 6 staff. Average rate 3.36 at the satisfaction of system. The most satisfaction item in new system is Online Renewal (Rate 3.78)

Conclusion With the limited resource, Hong Kong Shue Yan College Library had tried our best to provide a standard university library service. The migration of Millennium is a milestone to upgrade the library services. Linux is a suitable operation system for our due to the lower hardware cost and human resource cost.
19
Future Development of HKSYC Library Enhance customer orientated services and user education Expand Media Centre to an Integrated Learning Centre Enhance searching functions, implement link resolver, federated search function with open resource software Develop collabration with local and overseas university libraries Apply new technology to reduce the need of human resource, like RFID
