Staffing Trends Current Staff: 8 FTEs, 1 PTE, 4 Student AV Aides Addition of 1.5 FTEs under consideration

Current Strategic Initiatives 1. Venue Media Standardization Across UMHS –Media systems –User interface –Equipment make model 2. Centralized Venue Scheduling Across UMHS –Bring up Dean Evans EMS scheduling software –Identify owners willing to commit to a shared system –Installation of standardized media system

Opportunities for Collaboration & Synergy Partnering with MCIT to minimize duplication of effort in and around UMHS Reaching out to Health Science Schools media services units (e.g. Pharmacy, Dentistry, Public Health, Nursing) Collaboration has been realized folding M3, Multi-Media Development, MLearning, and ETS units.

Key Performance Indicators Income, hours of projection, number of deliveries, Client satisfaction, Number of events scheduled Data gathered via - surveys, immediate and recorded client feed back and scheduling software reports, ticketing system. All of the above is reviewed regularly

Benchmarked Data and Performance To date – official benchmarking has not been conducted, however, data will be gathered from peer institutions in the future. Former staff of UM media units report that ETS is better managed, functions more efficiently, and provides a higher quality of service to its users. Additionally, staff report greater work-life balance and satisfaction.
