I was so disappointed by the lack of results, that I considered returning them. Evaluation of wheelchair back support Crashworthiness http://www.vard.org/jour/00/37/5/ha.htm This study evaluated the crashworthiness of five combinations of wheelchair back support surfaces and attachment hardware. None of the five tested wheelchair back supports withstood the simulated crash loads.
