eICOLC 200315 Existing Pricing Models for a Consortium ► There is no fixed model for pricing ► It depends on funding from Ministries or other supporters ► Examples: EBSCO Publishing - 50% ministries, 50% libraries (according to the size) Science Direct – in inverse ratio to print subscription ProQuest – 75% ministry, depends on no. of users + deep discount for academic libraries CUP - 40% British Council, 60% libraries (the same price for all)

eICOLC 200317 Main LMBA problems ► Belonging to different ministries: Ministry of Culture Ministry of Education and Science Other ministries (Justice, Health Care, Agriculture) ► Funding for databases subscription ► Finding the best pricing models for a consortium ► Poor knowledge of English, low qualification of librarians (with few exceptions)
