6. Baseline Services Shared 10Mbps HD Switched 10Mbps HD Switched 10/100Mbps FD –backed by GE switch/router infrastructure Goal: Switched 10/100 FD for all; GE for a few Reality: Cat3 wireplant upgrade will take multiple years and multiple millions of dollars

7. Building/Subnet Status Connected buildings: 150 –Category 3 = 133 –Category 5 = 17 Buildings with 10/100 FD and GE backing –Two buildings, 12 subnets Departmental subnets: 278 –Shared 10 = approx 185 –Switched 10 = 80 –Switched 10/100 = 12 –So: 1/3 of subnets (93/278) switched
