The following slides contain images of all of the possible DNA profiles that could be generated from six different alleles. Even if you do not have access to a PCR instrument or electrophoresis equipment, you can cut and paste these images into PowerPoint slides to illustrate what various DNA profiles would look like. Each image contains a lane marked “L” which illustrates an allelic ladder and a “suspect” or “victim” lane that illustrates either a homozygous or a heterozygous genotype.
