Introduction: CEDS was established by the National University of Laos (NUOL) as the host institution for interdisciplinary environment and development studies (June 2004); CEDS serves for education and research in interdisciplinary environmental science and management; In 2004, the first generation of CEDS’s was 42 students In 2008, CEDS can now serve 1,122 students in the BSc. program with 19 CEDS’s lecturers and 39 participating.
