Interests of 313: Module 1 Individual Differences Everybody is inherently the same. Just kidding. What I find most interesting about personality is that every person has a different one. Probably the most interesting thing about personality is how diverse it is from person to person. The attempt to categorize people is interesting.

Interests of 313: Module 1 Personality Processes Understanding personality helps you understand why people do the things they do better. How different people effect situations or groups. Understanding how personality use can alter situations. How some people can be so positive all the time. I find it interesting how personality can change depending on various situations. I’m intrigued with how personality will develop and change over the course of someone’s life. Can we consciously, drastically change our personality type? Can an introvert become a true extravert?

Interests of 313: To be added Everyone’s personality is extremely different... the most interesting thing, to me, about personality is how people react to social situations based on their individual backgrounds. I love how personalities can vary from person to person... I think that it is interesting how 2 people with very different personalities are attracted to one another. I like the diversity of personality, and I also enjoy seeing and learning about how different personalities interact. Interpersonal circumplex

Interests of 313: Module 2 Genetics and biology Gender differences – personality differences in males and females The physical, biological activity that affects personality The nature vs. nurture issue is what interests me so far. Babies as young as 2 months old can exhibit personality traits that stick with them. The genetic component – sometimes I think, “Man, I don’t want to be a worrier but I know my mom is, so...”

Interests of 313: Module 3 Cognition and applications The unconscious The most interesting part of personality to me is the separation of “normal” personalities from those described in the DSM. People are crazy, I wanna know why. (personality in forensic psychology) I am interesting in knowing if physical health has a strong impact on personality.
