Hard Resource Sharing Install the resource on the server Place the hard resource for network sharing Install the hard resource as a networked device from a client for sharing

Placing a Printer for Sharing If a printer is already designated to be shared during installation, it need not be placed for sharing at this tim If an existing unshared printer connected to the server is to be shared, then it must be placed for sharing explicitly

A Note on Share Assigning long share names may prevent some MS-DOS machines on the network from accessing the printer If MS-DOS machines are serviced on the network, it is desirable to assign a name conforming to the DOS 8.3 naming format
