Objectives Help you with fundamental writing skills in English Encourage you to think independently

Objectives You will learn how to write expressively in English on a variety of topics when the vocabulary and organizational tools are supplied.

Objectives You will be taught how to organize information differently, efficiently and logically in English. You will develop sentence fluency by learning basic grammars and collocation.

Objectives After this course, you are expected to write short articles (150-200 words) efficiently.

Requirements Although this course is on-line based, attendance is still compulsory. It means that you should check your learning materials regularly, give responses as requested and always hand in assignments on time!

Giving Responses Every week you should give at least one written response to the question asked on the discussion board. If your responses are ‘more’ than 16 pieces at the end of semester, you will earn one awarding point to the final average grade. If your response are ‘less’ than 16 pieces at the end of semester, your final average grade will be deducted one point. Your responses will be reviewed weekly.

Grading 40% Assignments 30% Mid-term Examination 30% Final Examination The two exams will be held in the classroom.

Textbooks Title: Ready to Write: A First Composition Text Title: Key Words for Fluency: Learning and practicing the most useful words of English Students are highly recommended to use additional grammar references or vocabulary books though these are not compulsory.
