1 We had to wait until families woke up and rolled away their mattresses every morning to leave space for KURCEC to start (2000-2002).

2 Classes taking place in a church hall were we shifted (2003-2004).

3 Due to failure to find money to rent facilities, we arranged to have our children study at Mirembe Primary School while our leader (Jacques) was convincing individuals and small organizations to pay USh10,000 (US$3 then) for each child; families could also offer free labor in place of the US$3 (2005-2006).

4 At last, our children study at Hope Primary School, which we built permanently for the refugee children (2007-present).
