7 Technology Gap Innovation Fund  $750,000 of competitive commercialization grants per year for faculty  Each grant ~ $50,000  To date ~ $3 million has been awarded  Funding has led to startup formation and licensing:  Smart Sunglasses Technology  Algae for Biofuel

8 Entrepreneurs and Mentors In Residence  Business advisors for market development  Chair, Board Members  Serial entrepreneurs as CEOs/Cofounders  Coaching researchers on role to play in startup process  Improve target market identification and go to market strategy
