18-549: Midas Project Presentation 1/18/2007 2 Project Concept This project will be a wearable glove which can detect hand movements for use as an input device. The device will use accelerometer data to detect hand movement and use the Telos Mote to wirelessly communicate this data. Ideally, we’d like to be able to detect finger movement/positioning and to be able to connect this device via Bluetooth to the Nintendo Wii.

18-549: Midas Project Presentation 1/18/2007 4 Requirements Take accelerometer data and interpret it into movements Detect finger movements/positioning with push buttons, photoelectric sensors, magnetic sensors (?) Read and interpret data in under 50 ms Glove and all gear should weigh under 2 lbs Glove should stay together under extreme Wii use.
