All people from Norway speak Norwegian, but many use English as an official business language.

Both Americans and Norwegians get the same holidays off from work such as: New Years Good Friday Easter Sunday and Monday Christmas Norwegians also take off their own personal holidays like: Holy (Maundy) Thursday May Day Ascension (40 Days after Easter) Whitsun/Pentecost (Sunday & Monday 10 Days after Ascension) Constitution Day (May 17) Boxer Day (December 26) Both business hours are the same: Banks: 9-4 Stores: 9-6 (9-2 Sat & Sun)

Norwegians are very adamant about leaving work on-time, even though they never arrive anywhere on time. Therefore, attempting to take an appointment after hours is disrespective.
