3. College of Education The Beginning...  Western State Normal School is dedicated on May 27, 1903  School officially opens June 27, 1904  117 enrolled students attend classes in a Kalamazoo H.S. Bldg.  1 st building completed in 1905 called East Hall East Hall and Prospect Hill in 1910
