is the weighting potential that describes the coupling of a charge at any position to electrode A (E x is the weighting field). It is obtained by setting the potential of the electrode to 1 and setting all other electrodes to potential 0. The electric field and the weighting field are different: –The electric field determines the charge trajectory and velocity –The weighting field depends only on geometry and determines how charge motion couplesto to a specific electrode.
